Biography

Roberto Fonfría is a seasoned creative director with over 25 years of experience in branded communication and advertising. As a Partner at El Autobus, he leads strategy and creative efforts focused on the U.S. Hispanic market, working with major brands across industries. Under his leadership, El Autobus has developed campaigns for PepsiCo, FritoLay, Stella Artois, Telemundo, and Spotify, among others, specializing in culturally relevant storytelling and market engagement.


Before co-founding El Autobus in 2005, Roberto was Chief Creative Officer at ARS/DDB Caracas, where he transformed the agency into the most awarded in Venezuela. His work has earned prestigious industry accolades, including Clio, New York Festival, London Festival, FIAP, and Anda Awards, along with being named Creative Director of the Year by El Ojo de Iberoamérica three years in a row.


Beyond advertising, Roberto is also a mixed-media artist and painter, with exhibitions in Caracas, Miami, Colorado, and San Francisco. He holds a degree in Social Communications from Universidad Católica Andrés Bello in Caracas.
