Presentation Title: Elevating High-Performing Teams with Behavioral Analytics: A Guide for Agile Professionals


Presentation Description:

In this session, designed specifically for Agile professionals, I will explore the important role of behavioral analytics in creating and developing high-performing teams.

  1. I'll start by examining how to attract and select the perfect candidates for your team. I’ll demonstrate how hiring managers can accurately identify the essential skills and competencies needed for specific roles by aligning them with the duties outlined in job descriptions. I'll also explain performance-based interviewing practices.

  2. Next, I’ll introduce the PDA Behavioral Analysis, a powerful tool based on William Marston's Theory of Personality. I’ll walk participants through the different personality profiles that shape team dynamics and success. I'll dive into the key descriptors and motivators measured by the PDA, including Risk, Extroversion, Patience, Norms, and Self-Control.

  3. Participants will learn how to use these insights to pinpoint areas for individual and team development. I’ll show how managers can leverage PDA data to recognize group trends that either drive or hinder team performance.

  4. When applied effectively, the PDA can forecast both success and potential turnover. Participants will discover how these assessments measure a person’s traits, their compatibility with job roles, and their energy alignment—critical factors in avoiding burnout and ensuring long-term success.

  5. Finally, we'll discuss the implications of these insights for leadership. Understanding decision-making styles, leadership approaches, and how to leverage individual strengths is essential for fostering self-awareness and driving team excellence.

Exercises:

  1. Analyze an Agile job description (JD) and determine the right skills and competencies needed for the role.

  2. Self-reflection - What parts of your role come naturally and what doesn't, and why?
